We are dedicated to helping you maintain and protect, arguably, your most important sense: your vision. To achieve this we offer hour long appointments and take advantage of the latest advancements in technology to examine your eyes. We are always happy to explain our findings and offer bespoke management and treatment options as required.
Optomap ultra-wide field retinal imaging
We highly recommend retinal imaging as it allows us to discover, diagnose, document and refer any ocular pathology that may first present in the periphery.
The machine is fast, patient friendly and provides a high-resolution retinal image of more than 80% or 200˚ of the retina in a single capture, compared to 15% or 45˚ previously possible with a retinal camera.
OCT scan
Optical Coherence Tomography is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages. Similar to ultrasound, OCT uses light rather than sound waves to illustrate the different layers that make up the back of the eye.
It can provide reassurance that the retina is healthy or help guide appropriate advice and interventions.
iCare Tonometry
We are aware that not everyone likes the air puff method for checking eye pressure and so we have invested in the latest technology which is increasingly being used in hospital eye departments.
